Additional post boxes instead of sidebar widgets

Hello! I’m trying to adjust “Food-Recipes” theme to fit my needs. I’d like to use sidebar’s space to get an extra row of post boxes. In other words, I’d like to have three (instead of two) vertical rows of post boxes displayed on main page, and I absolutely do not have an intention of using any widgets. Could you please help me to rearrange these things? Thank you!
