    When I try to connect AdSense to Site Kit by Google, it puts me in an endless loop of “Additional Permissions Required”. What I do:

    I click on “Complete setup for AdSense”,

    Error message “Additional Permissions Required” pops up AND at the same time two browser console errors show up:
    * Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () /wp-json/google-site-kit/v1/modules/adsense/data/accounts?_locale=user:1
    * Google Site Kit API Error method:GET datapoint:accounts type:modules identifier:adsense error:”Site Kit can’t access the relevant data from AdSense because you haven’t granted all permissions requested during setup.” (anonymous) @ googlesitekit-api-42a570a0fa622ed2a8e6.js:1

    I click “Proceed”, choose my Google account, see a message “Site Kit already has some access See the 7 services that Site Kit has some access to”, click the “Continue” button,

    Error message “Additional Permissions Required” pops up AND at the same time two different browser console errors show up:

    etc.

    What can be done? Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Hi @ymf,

    Thanks for reaching out, and providing your Site Health information. So we can determine more on this, and ensure you can complete AdSense module connection, please share the following:

    1. In the permissions popup that first appears, did you grant all permissions? I ask as sometimes during OAuth permissions checks, not all the boxes are ticked. If there are any that are not ticked, please go ahead and tick them all before proceeding.
    2. Does the same browser 403 browser error appear if attempting Site Kit set up from a Chrome browser incognito window? I ask as you may have an ad blocker or browser extension impacting Site Kit set up.

    Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hi James,

    1. I believe I did check all requested permission check boxes upon their first appearance. Right now I see these permissions granted to Site Kit.

    2. Attempting Site Kit set up from a Chrome browser incognito window magically solved the problem (I was not even logged to my Google account from that incognito window). No browser errors observed. I am all set now. All works, including from the regular (non-incognito) Chrome window.

    That’s interesting! I wonder was there some browser caching or profile related issue from your regular browser session. Regardless that’s great that you’re not connected. If you happen to encounter any further issues be sure to reach out.
