Additional info about customers

    Hey guys!

    Been playing with your Chat.io for a while and so far so good. I had hardly any issues with configuration but there’s something that I’ve been finking about and cannot find it.

    Is it possible to add some additional information about my customers? Say that I have a customers’ database and I’ve been gathering some info about them fol a while. if they will log onto my WordPress, I’d like to display their info right in chat conversation (agent side). Is that possible?

    Thank you for reaching us with this question!

    @ryann0tgosling, our Customer API will allow you to do just that. With the use of it, you will be able to load additional information about your customers from the database and pass it over to Chat.io. Those details will be displayed for your agents during a chat conversation.

    The exact method responsible for this is called update_customer and it’s described in our official documentation – click here to check it out! Also, don’t forget to read our official introduction to Customer API – I’m sure that it’ll tell you exactly what you need to use it ??
