Additional entries for signing up to Mailchimp mailing list?

    Is there any way to automatically grant the user additional entries if they sign up for a Mailchimp mailing list in the paid version? My primary goal with running a sweepstakes is to get users to sign up for an open-ended monthly mailing list.

    Hi @airtite, for now, there is no additional actions to award entries on entering a list. I do have that in my backlog for a future version. For now, subscribers are automatically subscribed.

    I am not a lawyer, but my understanding is that requiring a user to sign up for a recurring monthly newsletter (as opposed to just signing up for email communications about the sweepstakes itself) could be considered an illegal lottery. The reason is that requiring a user to do purchase something _or_ do something of value to enter makes the contest a lottery.

    So if a user hooked their sweepstakes mailing list up to their main Mailchimp mailing list, they might be accidentally violating the law. Again, I’m not a lawyer, but it’s something to consider when prioritizing features.

    Hi @airtite, in 2.35.0 there are new actions that can help you with asking users to sign to a list or more and award them points.
