• Hello All,

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

I have several sub-domains and in the past I have added WordPress without issue.

But now when I try to install WordPress on a new Sub-Domain it is adding “www.” to the front. Which makes for a slightly cumbersome URL.

    Examples
    Old site with WordPress. “Blog.site.com”

    New site with WordPress “www.podcast.site.com”

Is this an issue with my host? or am I missing something in my setup of WordPress.

Thank you for the Assistance! I appreciate it!

  • Hey Caelestio,

I would check with your hosting provider first.
This doesn’t seem directly related to WordPress.

Are you using multisite to setup new subdomains?

I installed it in the root with subdomains basis. If you go to main site it works. If you go to wp-admin in a subdomain gets 404 Error. it looks as if WP doesn′t installed in subdomain.

I get the DNS wildcard. It resolves when I type a ping at by instante bannermatik.solomayoristas.net but if you type bannermatik.solomayoristas.net/wp-admin the server is not found.

I don′t know if it is a WP issue or Server misconfigured issue

    Thanks a lot.,
    felixr
