Hi there, I’m trying to move the woocommerce add to cart button and product variations under the gallery for all product pages. I’ve created a child theme, and tried adding the woocommerce folder to it, but anytime the woocommerce folder is present in the generatepress theme folder (parent or child), regardless of the files within, all products on my shop and product pages disappear. I’ve also tried writing a function to do this, but I can only remove them from under the short description through that method. I must be doing something incorrectly – any assistance you can provide on correcting these two issues would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

That’s strange, which template did you add to the woocommerce folder? Were there any other files in there.

You might be able to use hooks, instead. For example: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/114734/how-to-customize-position-of-add-to-cart-of-woocommerce-on-product-page/115097#115097

    Let me know ??

It didn’t seem to matter which files I placed in the folder – the presence of that folder name alone seemed to cause my shop items to disappear. I tried with the full batch of files, none at all, and others I’ve modified for other projects. Nothing works. I am also using hooks, but have not found one capable of moving the add to cart/quantity options under the gallery thumbnails since the thumbnail hook became deprecated, hence why I’ve been forced toward this route.

Is there something within GeneratePress that would be causing this, or rerouting where I need to place the woocommerce folder?

    Hi there,

GeneratePress itself shouldn’t be causing this. Just to test, what happens if you add the folder to the Twenty-Twenty theme and activate it temporarily?

Seems the issue persists into the Twenty Twenty theme, even with all other plugins disabled and moved outside the plugin folder, as well as all custom CSS being disabled. Didn’t even think to check that since it was working correctly in two other themes earlier in development. That narrows potential causes down considerably – I appreciate the help!

It might be worth reporting this to WooCommerce support. They might know what could cause something like this to happen.

Not in this case – this problem was created within the WooCommerce plugin by my own error. I figured out the issue and have been able to move forward. Thanks for setting me down the right path!
