adding widgets into Top-menu area

Hello!

How can I add widgets to Top-menu area of the theme?
I would like to add the translation and search widgets in that area, but within theme customization of menus it doesn’t offer the option to add widgets.
Also, within theme customization of widgets I can only add a widget in the Main-sidebar area (where it shows below the main image close to the bottom-right side), or within any of the footer-widget area, so there is no option for the Top-menu placement as well.

Could you please help!
