adding widgets deletes everything else in sidebar!

  • so i had this beautiful sidebar created, with a custom search bar, advertiser images, etc…but as soon as i add any widgets to the sidebar, everything gets deleted (including my search bar) and the widget replaces it all.

    i’m working locally on my theme so it’s not up on my actual site or else i would link it. but if it helps, i’m using “untheme two-column”

    i’d really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.

  • Well, you’re going to have to add all the other stuff to widgets too, in an html/text widget.

    What you saw first where just some place-fillers used while making the theme. If dont have any widgets in the sidebar, they will show up. If you add something to sidebar, only they will be shown.
