Adding videos on tube site

I am hosting WordPress on my own servers and have a tube type website. I am looking to post videos on it but without having to upload them and embed the code from another site like (youtube.com etc)

Is there a way to just upload the videos and then embed them directly on my site or do I need to buy some sort of space on a service in order to do this?
