Adding Video with "Add Media" Tool

  • I uploaded an .mov video to my dashboard media library. I tried to use the Add Media tool to add it to a post, but all the post contained was a link, not the actual video. How do I get the video to show in the post using this tool? Pictures show fine.

  • You will need to install plugin that will run the uploaded videos, I am not sure but check out this plugin, hope that it works..

    Thanks for the suggestion; I appreciate it. I tried it, tho’, and could not use it; unfortunately, our server does not support FFMPEG unless you move to a dedicated server option. I’ll check out some other plug-in options; if anyone has a suggestion, would again be greatly appreciated. ??

    Hmmmmmm … okay, I have it playing. Now, not sure if this is the video, the plug-in or just my computer, but the video is starting and stopping. I don’t typically have that problem with videos on my computer, so I’m thinking it’s either a setting on the plug-in that I don’t have quite right yet, or maybe it is this video. I don’t have another video uploaded that I can test right now, but I will do that ASAP. ??
