Adding variations custom field: how to show in frontend

Hello,

I have found your questions in various places because I am looking for a solution for exactly the same thing!

Just wondered if you had found a solution for adding and displaying a custom field for each variation?

I have used that gist code also, it displayed the field, but it didn’t actually save my data as far as I could tell.

If you had a solution, would you mind sharing it with me?

I could not find any solution, despite any efforts also with alternative solutions.
This difficulty, together with several others and the philosophy itself of the platform, led me to abandon WordPress (it was my first site in wordpress) and go back to my beloved Joomla: I made the site from scratch and could obtain all I wanted (the last version 3.2 is great).

Oh well, back to the drawing board. I might take a look at Joomla too ??

I just thought I would post here that I have found a solution to the problem (in case you wanted to give it another try).

There is a tutorial on how to do it – Derek at Designloud helped me with the problem

thanks indeed for telling me about the solution you found, but I don’t think I’ll use wordpress again in the next future: anyway I downloaded and archived the tutorial.. you never know!
