This is a longshot, but here I go:

I have an old homegrown shop that I am phasing out in favor of WooCommerce. Is there any way for me to add the products from my old shop to my woocommerce cart during the transition without adding them as new WooCommerce products?

Basically what I need is the ability to create a custom link that adds a phantom product to the cart based on the link parameters.

Is that do-able? Or can there only be valid defined products in the WooCommerce cart?

    Thanks!

Only products that actually exist in the WooCommerce / WooCommerce database can be added to the cart. With that said, you could try importing the products from the old store to WooCommerce under **Tools > Import** (Requires WooCommerce 3.1) or by using a plugin like https://wpallimport.com

I thought of that, but my catalog is too complicated for its own good, and it’s going to take some time. That’s why I was hoping to have something I could do in the meantime with any orders that trickle in.

Oh well! Thanks for the quick reply.
