Hi, I am adding Facebook Page Plugin by copying two pieces of code instructions from developers.facebook.com. As instructed, the first piece of code was placed right after the <body> tag in header.php and for the second piece of code, I pasted on a text widget and dragged and placed it on right under the search sidebar. However, I couldn’t see it appear on my website.

    Can anyone help please?

  • Hi savann,

thanks for using MH Newsdesk lite.

If you’re absolutely sure that you’ve added the code correctly, then please check the privacy settings of your browser. For example if you’re browsing in private mode in Firefox, then you won’t see the Facebook widget as it’s being blocked.

In case you’re unsure if you’ve added the script correctly, then you could simply use plugins for this purpose to ensure that the code is implemented correctly.

Please also keep in mind that when adding the code by yourself, you shouldn’t modify core theme files because these changes will be lost after theme updates. Code modifications should be applied within a custom child theme instead so that the code will remain after theme updates.

Thank MH Themes Team Member for your reply.

I have already resolved the issue.

Unfortunately, I have deleted some codes and adding some codes from developers.facebook.com on my own without creating a child theme.

By the way, I would like to know if your HM Newsdesk Pro has a trial period so that I would know whether there are some additional features which suite my preferences and practical needs.

    Thanks again.

You’re welcome and we’re glad that you’ve solved the issue. This forum is for the free theme only. For pre-sale questions regarding the premium theme, please contact us.
