Adding Sub navigation Widget to Sidebar when using Custom Menu

  • Hello,

    I am using a custom menu on my site to display categories along with page in my main navigation. Also, my top level links are just custom links that are filled in with “https://#” to disable clicking. So technically, that means none of my pages are parented.

    So now, is there any way to have the subpages listed in the sidebar if they are only linked through the custom menu? I used to create dummy pages that my sub pages would parent to and the use a plugin to unlink them from the nav bar.

    Can anyone help me find a solution so that I can still have my sub navigation in my sidebar that will display both pages and categories of only the “parent” page that they on? I tried using the custom menu widget but that displays all of my navigation in my sidebar except for the specific section related to the current page.

    unfortunately i dont know the answer to your issue, my problem is less complex but still having a problem finding a answer, as i have posted many times.

    maybe you can help?
    i wish to apply the buttons i used on my header menu to the sidebar menu.
    do you know how to do this?

    Hello compassedabout,
    I spent hours trying to find a subpages widget for my custom menus. Gecka Submenu ads a widget labeled Custom Menu [advanced]. It lets you select which custom menu to pull your subpages from.
