    hi konstantin!

i too LOVE this theme and am grateful as a first time wp creator.

    my site is micromeditation.org

right now i have three pages in the main nav bar: home, about, meditations

the home page hosts the blog (and now updates/displays nicely)

the meditation page i would like to have a drop down subdirectory — these will be mostly audio and video links (from youtube) and rather than have to page through endlessly, i’d like the reader to be able to select “1 minute meditation” — IS THAT POSSIBLE? i understand these are called ‘parent’ and ‘child’ but in looking through previous posts, like tulegacy, i couldn’t really figure out what they were talking about.

for example, the way the blog posts update and are archived and searchable is nice (even though there’s no sub directory in the nav bar).

    pls advise?

    THANK YOU!! sarah

    dear konstantin-

another question: is there a way for me to have my blog posts pushed out via twitter/fb/or email? do i need a plug in for this or is it part of your theme’s design?

Go to Appearances and click on the Menu feature. You can create custom menus and menu levels there.

Hey there, as Context Canada mentioned, you can customize your navigation menu in Appearance – Menus, and create second-level (and third-level) menus if needed. As for Twitter, Facebook, etc, you’ll need a plugin to do that. I would suggest giving Jetpack’s Publicize module a spin.

    Good luck!

thank you context canada and konstantin-

i’m still not figuring it out — i went to appearance/menus/ and went to the current header “meditations” on my main nav bar to which i’d like to add a dozen other level menus —

but now i am concerned that i’m using the wrong terminology: since this is a site meant to welcome newcomers to meditation practice, i’d like to offer meditations that are quick and easy to use (typically audio links, but also some video links), that a person can easily scroll through and decide ‘oh, today i’d like to do a 5 minute meditation’

    any clarifications? site is micromeditation.org

also, i’d like to create a contact form that will allow readers to sign up to receive new posts via email. any ideas on this front?

MANY MANY THANKS! have a happy day! sarah

My advice is limited to what I can see on your site. If you want a Menu Header called Meditations (which you have)with other content (Posts or Pages) below that then you need to use the Appearances/Menu feature to first create a new menu(create it in the upper right side and Save Changes), then add content (Pages/Posts/Categories)to the Menu. Drag and drop them to set the order (pull them to the side to be a sub category of the item above it and Save Changes) and then in the Upper left corner choose the Menu that you created to be the default menu.
