Adding Status updates similar to Tweets

  • Hi,

    I want to have an activity stream, similar to tweets, where in user’s can simply enter a short quote. People should be able to like these (Buddypress Like can work for this) and re-quote them. I need commenting option. I also want to give a different name to “Quoting”. Most importantly I need to moderate these quotes before they are visible. One more added point if feasible, user’s can send the quote as an sms to thier numbers. This must appear as a link “Send as Free SMS”.

    I am quite a beginner in php or wordpress coding, so please try to help me out with a combination of plugins or simple code hacks or patches.
