Adding Staff Details to Team Page

@blue Great suggestion! In the current version, staff can only be displayed on their own page but we’ll definitely add a shortcode and/or option on the team pages to display staff in the next major update.

What’s the point of having a staff’s page if we cannot list them?

So it is currently not possible to display staff as we can with players?

I could create a new position and add the staff, but I would want a different style for staff so it is easier to differentiate between the players and staff.

@dmr321 Staff can be displayed on a separate page if you add them to the menu, but not combined with other elements yet. We add features as they are requested, and prioritize by the number of requests we get. This seems like a popular one so we’ll definitely include staff shortcodes and widgets in version 1.4.6 ??

Alternatively, there is the Staff Directories extension which you can use to display a list or gallery of staff (similar to player lists) on any page: https://themeboy.com/products/staff-directories/

@blue Thanks for checking in! Yep, the latest version 1.4.7 adds a staff shortcode and widget. The shortcode can be accessed by editing a staff member. You’ll see a Shortcode section with the code to copy and insert into pages and posts. We’ll be adding these into the editor menu in a future update for easier access ??

@blue thanks for your feedback. We’ll include a way to display staff names via shortcodes and widgets in the next major update. In the meantime, you can add the name to a page directly using one of the Heading elements, and to a widget by adding a widget title.

I am also looking for a way to add staff members to each team page and for a way to generate staff list like you can do with players.

So far, all I found was the short code per staff member but that means I’ll have to manually add each staff member to a team. Since I got a lot of teams on my site, that will be quite an effort.

Are there widgets, galleries and lists for this available when you buy the module? And is there like a trial version for the extra modules so that I can try if it really is what I need?

I also would like to feature the staff on the team page, but even when using the shortcode it sits at the bottom of the page after the players list. I would like the staff to sit up the top of the page and then the players list.

Is this possible?

Also can you get the excerpt, name and job title on there as well? Its still only the current team, which is pointless if they are on that team page.

Has there been any update on this by chance? I’m in the position where I’d like to insert links to staff pages like I would with player info but there doesnt seem to be any option in the SPress drop down in the WYSIWYG editor as of yet (unless I’m missing something)
