We haven’t had any reports of issues.

    I’ve done it. Here’s what I learned:

    1. MainWP server must have up to date CURL and OpenSSL
    2. This means running Apache 2.4 not 2.2
    3. For me, this meant switching from MAMP to XAMPP
    4. In MainWP site setting, I had to set the SSL type dropdown to TLS 1.2

    Then everything was fine.

In Step 4, as far as I know, Let’s Encrypt certificate is simply an SSL certificate, it does not require TLS to be set up. So that shouldn’t affect the installation.

For the easiest experience with local host setup I recommend using DeskTopServer, check How to use DesktopServer to run your MainWP Dashboard locally
