Adding shortcode to dashboard

Our vendor dashboard is itself a page and has it’s own shortcode i.e. [vendor_dashboard]

Hey, so, I was trying to add a new custom menu in the vendor dashboard by using wcmp hooks given in this page – https://wc-marketplace.com/knowledgebase/wcmp-hooks-filters/#1 (The last section regarding custom menu)

I added the snippet in the child theme’s functions.php and it did create a custom menu in my dashboard. I wanted to add the shortcode in that section, but when I click on that menu it takes me to a 404 page. Could you please check the snippet and let me know if there’s anything else that I need to do?

I resolved the issue of the 404 page, but still need to find out how to add a shortcode to the custom menu.

I couldn’t understand the solution given in this forum. Would be great if you could tell me how to do it.

@suvamss, The vendor dashboard page comes from a shortcode.

All the menus are an endpoint of this vendor dashboard page. So, to add content for your custom menu, you may use any of the two option :

– Create a custom endpoint and add the content.

– Direct the vendor to another page and use shortcode for that custom page.

I have already created the endpoint and there’s a new tab in the menu section now, but in the content section, when I try to add a shortcode the way I add in a regular page, it doesn’t show up. Is there any additional code I need to add in the content section to show the shortcode?

@suvamss, as you have to use shortcode to create the custom page, hence you need to direct the vendor to that custom page via this custom menu.
