Adding shortcode

Admittedly I’m a newbie putting together my first wp site. I’m also using Headway theme.

Trying to install a couple of plug ins and missing the same vital information. In this case installing Sliding YouTube Gallery – the instructions say add this shortcode ‘[syg_gallery id=terrekrotzer]’

I do that and either that’s what shows in the content box or nothing shows. What do I actually have to put in the make this work?
