• Hi again Roman,

I’m having trouble getting the menu items as I want them. There are some sections I’ve created, e.g. Benefits, Who do I help and the contact form which I have added as sections within My Front Page and I can’t figure out how to add them to the menu as separate items? I can add My Front Page, but not the individual sections from it – I hope you understand what I mean. To clarify, I aim for the menu to be:
    How can I help you
    Legal expertise
    Benefits
    About me
    Who do I help
    Please contact me
The items I have managed to get in the menu bar aren’t linking up at the moment – I’m missing a trick.

    Thanks in advance!
    Jen

  • Hello Jen,

    Please check this video:

I hope that it’s what you are looking for ??

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    P. S.
It’s a little bit different in Moesia, but you can find element IDs by doing a right-click on an element, select Inspect Element and find something like this:

<div id="pg-220-1" class="panel-grid"... – in this case, pg-220-1 is the id of a div element.

For more information you can refer to this guide.

Thanks Roman, that’s useful for getting some of the headings into the menu.

However I seem to be missing something – at the start of the video they choose Customize and then Widgets and select Homepage – but I don’t have the Homepage option, I just have footer A, B and C – am I missing something obvious here? I can imagine that if I could select Homepage it might then give me the sub options such as Benefits (which I created using the Facts widget).

    Thanks!
    Jen

    Hello Jen,

It’s the difference that I mentioned. In Moesia page widgets can be edited on page editing screen, not in Appearance → Customize.

    Kind Regards, Roman.

Thank you Roman. Could you explain exactly where I should enter the link for the menu for widgets such as Facts?

Thanks so much for your help, I’m really enjoying using this theme but realize I am troubling you with a lot of questions!

    Thanks again,
    Jen

Hi, thanks it’s https://www.businessowl.uk, however I’ve taken the menu off for now, ideally I would have a link to all sections but I think I’m confused by the fact that some sections are pages like Services and some are widgets like Facts.

    Thanks again ??

    Jen

    Hello Jen,

Please try to create a new menu item as custom link, name it Facts, and use https://www.businessowl.uk/#facts as a link.

    Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks, that has worked perfectly. I have used the same theory to link the pages and it has worked well, however I’m struggling to link the contact form to the menu. The contact form is via the Text widget, so I tried www/businessowl.uk/#text but this doesn’t work?

Also, I’ve used 2 blockquote widgets, I’ve managed to link the first to the menu by adding https://www.businessowl.uk/#blockquote, but how do I do this for the second blockquote?

Once the menu is finished I would like it so that it doesn’t show along the main bar, even on large screen, and there is just the square icon with dropdown, as it defaults to on mobile, how can I achieve this?

    Thanks very much,
    Jen

    Hello Jen,

Please try to use these links:
    https://www.businessowl.uk/#pg-773-7 – contact form
    https://www.businessowl.uk/#pg-773-2 – first blockquote
    https://www.businessowl.uk/#pg-773-6 – second blockquote

I don’t think that there is an easy way to show mobile menu on desktop.

    Kind Regards, Roman.
