Adding Read More on main menu

Hi,

This feature is already available in frontech theme. You need to add more than 55 words in blog to enable read more button.

We add this feature in our next update so you can set custom length of home blog content section from the customizer.

Thank for for responding. Usually, am excerpt is less than 55 words. Therefore, my question is how to add that button without writing 55 words on the excerpt.

Please update your theme you can find this option under blog section with the name “Home Blog Content Length”.

Specified the length according to your requirement.

I would like to add “Read More” at the end of the excerpt of the latest post section of the main page when the excerpt is less than 55 words. I am using the frontech theme.

Did you check the option “Home Blog Content Length”. If not that go to Admin Dashboard >> Appearance >> customize >> Home Sections >> Blog Options. Scroll, at the end you got the option. In this option you can specify you home blog content length.

For example if you set option on 44 than after 44 words read more is display.

Note :- You can set length from 1-100.

Thanks. That did not work either with option set at only 5 words. Read More is not added.

How to reproduce:

1- Add a post.
2- Add an excerpt with 8 words.
3- change the option for Blog to 5 words.
4- Read More is not added to the “latest post” section at the theme home page.

Please go to https://www.seifware.com , the latest posts section and note that the Read More is not added at the end of the post labeled “Maximo Absence Management”. I rolled back the option to 55 words but I tried it with 5 words and the Read More is never added there.

How can we add “Read More” to a post on the latest post section when there is an excerpt on the post?

I used The “Post Grid” Plugin and is working very well where it does add the “Read More” on all posts:

Hi,

Please download the latest package 1.1.9. We made some changes in this to resolved your issue.

Condition one :- In any post if you add post content and excerpt both than Read More button is display after the text you enter in excerpt.

Condition Two :- In any post if you add only page content than Read More button is display according to the setting (Home Blog Content Length) defined in customizer.
