Adding purchase to existing user

I am launching a membership site, using Woocommerce and Wishlist. All integration is fine and working. But…

I’ve been doing a series of test purchases with PayPal, and noticed that woocommerce is automatically adding/linking the purchase to an existing WP user.

Is there a way to prevent this?

For instance, what if my customer wants to buy and pay, with her paypal account, a membership for someone else? Why would the purchase (and subsequently the membership) be added to her account again, overriding the previous info, just because the same paypal account was used to pay for it?

Any help with this would be appreciated.
