Can you please tell me the purpose for:

Add the Blackhole URL (available via the “Robots Rules” setting) to the cache plugin’s “ignore” list

I am using W3C Total Cache and it works perfectly right out the box, so I’m trying to understand what the above is for. The only thing I noticed is that when I unblock an IP, I also need to “purge all cache” to have the blocked removed, however, I have to do the same thing even if I set the Blackhole URL to be ignored by the plugin.

That step was necessary during our initial testing, it may not be the case any longer. I’ve added this to the to-do list and will retest Blackhole with W3C, will revise any incorrect information as necessary. If you discover any further infos, please let us know. Thank you for sharing this feedback.

    Hi

Does this Work with WP Super Cache and if so, where in the cache plugin do I add an ‘ignore’ please?

Glad to help. Yes Blackhole is compatible with WP Super Cache. Please see this guide for details on implementation. Note that the article is written for the “pro” version, but the info/steps also apply to the free version.

To return to the original question – I can’t find W3’s ignore list! Where is it?
