Adding Private Page > BiD Relationship field on User shows dupe

  • Hello, love the plugin, we use it regularly

    Here’s the description of the issue:

    • GIVEN: This is a Bidirectional Relationship field
    • GIVEN: The relationship exists between Users and Pages
    • GIVEN: I am editing the Pages quickedit field in the list screen
    • GIVEN: The Page is a “Password-Protected” page
    • WHEN: I add a User entry to the field
    • THEN: When I view the related column in the “Users” list, I see a duplicate entry – One for the Private Page, and one for the latest revision of the same page (!)
    • EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: When I add the user to the Page, I should only see a link for the page, not for the revision

    NOTE: When I duplicate this relationship by adding the User to the ACF field directly in the Page edit screen (not the quick edit) I do not see the problem – it only occurs when I edit the field by QuickEdit

    I’ve discovered that this issue is not isolated to Password Protected pages, and it seems to be intermittent.

    Some pages added were also added with a duplicate (revision) link showing in the Admin column, where others were not. I could not determine the reason why it happened for some and not others.

    If I remove the file from the field in the User edit screen, then re-add it after saving, the issue goes away.
