Adding Primary Sidebar to Front Page

Hello,

I am pretty new to WordPress and I am in desperate need of some help and have not been able to find a solution to this problem.

I have the Genesis Framework and am using a genesis child theme called gigawatt. My home page is set to display my latest posts.

I would like to use the primary sidebar option to have all the widgets in that sidebar show up on every page. It works fine, but the primary sidebar shows up everywhere except my homepage. Right now, I am only using the front page sidebar to display widgets instead of the primary sidebar, since I cannot see anything in the primary sidebar on my homepage. I would hate to have to duplicate all the widgets from my frontpage sidebar to my primary sidebar… What am I missing here?
