• Hi hi
I have just started a blog and have lots of posts on the home page but I want to cross reference them to pages depending on their topic. I can see how to create pages but how do I then hook up the post to that page? Or do I have to post in the page only?
    Thanks!

  • Assign posts to categories according to topic.
Then you can use a custom menu (Appearance/Menus) to make a category page for each.

You can also create a page that loads whatever posts you need…….I would do it with a page template and then use some kind of query posts call on the loop to get complete control, but you can use Hybrid theme to do all of this. Basically its made for this. Remember that posts and pages are really the same thing….

I normally only do a custom query if I need custom output. Easier to use whatever the theme has for organizing posts, and great if a theme has post sorting built in to it’s pages. Custom Community has that as well. Twentyten does not, and so the custom menu is an easy way to sort posts on pages in such a theme.
And yes, pages are a “post-type”.
