adding pan and zoom to easy fancybox

what’s the best way to add a zoom and pan option to images once they’re opened in a fancybox window? with the original jquery plugin i know you can add the button helpers, but i don’t see a way to do this with the wordpress plugin. am i missing something? is there another way to add pan and zoom? thanks.
