Adding pagination to specific pages (NOT site-wide)

Hi

My site has different types of content which I would like to remain as they are. I do want to add some pagination to a specific content type, I am creating with normal static pages. The problem is some have extremely long pages, which I would like to be broken down, like through some shortcode(?). I do intend to keep adding stuff at the end …

Is there any simple solution to this for a non-coder?
I do not like a site-wide solution requiring changing the theme template(?), etc, like some examples I found seem to point to.
