Adding Pages

    I have installed a real estate theme which has 3 pages (Home/Search/Contact Us), and another page type Properties, which list the property pages. They are accessed through the Search page.

    I want to create another page Articles and add articles with separate pages that can be indexed by Google and appear as thumbnails on the Articles page.

    Is there a way to use what I have or does it need a plugin?

    Here’s how you can accomplish this setup:

    1. Create the “Articles” Page:
      • In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Pages > Add New.
      • Title the page “Articles” (or “Blog” if you prefer).
      • Publish the page.
    2. Configure the “Articles” Page to Display Posts:
      • Go to Settings > Reading.
      • Under “Your homepage displays,” select “A static page.”
      • For the “Posts page,” choose the “Articles” page you just created.
      • Save your changes.
      This configuration tells WordPress to display your blog posts on the “Articles” page.
    3. Add the “Articles” Page to Your Menu:
      • Navigate to Appearance > Menus.
      • You should see the “Articles” page in the list of available pages. Check its box and click “Add to Menu.”
      • Arrange it in your desired order within the menu structure.
      • Save the menu.
    4. Customize the Display of Your Articles:
      • Featured Images: When creating a new post (under Posts > Add New), set a featured image for each article. This image will serve as the thumbnail on the “Articles” page.
