    Hello All,

I want to add one more menu in my website. The currently menu present comes only at primary location i.e. on top. I want to add one more menu which should be visible on footer.
I cannot share my website link as i am working on localhost. (sorry for that).

    Any help will be welcomed.

    Thank You
    Divdeep Singh

  • Hi Divdeep,

You can achieve this by navigating to Appearance -> Widgets and adding the “Custom Menu” widget to any of the 3 footer areas, as per your wish. Hope it helps.

    Hi Suyogya,

    Thanks for quick response!.
I tried that but i think that will add the menu that is present.

By the way i solved the problem by duplicating the code of menu present in functions.php

    Thanks

    Hey there,

Glad you fixed it. If you wanted to display another menu in the footer, there’s a workaround for that too. You can just navigate to Appearance -> Menu and create a new menu. Add the desired pages, just don’t select it as the primary menu. Now, navigate to Appearance -> Widgets , add the “Custom Menu” widget and select the newly created menu in the widget box. Now, i have more question.

I created child theme(through plugin) and when i did changes in functions.php but my site stopped loading.

When i did changes in my original theme’s functions.php, then it worked well.
Why the changes in child theme are not showing up?

    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply Suyogya.

I added the menu through widget in footer. But i want my menu to display in one single line (like the primary menu do’s).

Sorry for asking silly questions, i am not able to do this.

    I solved this issue

“I added the menu through widget in footer. But i want my menu to display in one single line (like the primary menu do’s).”

    Hey

Do you know how to create that hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) for mobile view?

    Hey there,

Your primary menu will be displayed as a hamburger menu automatically when viewed on a mobile device. Hope it helps.
