Adding New User & Sync With Existing Affiliate Account

    Hi,

    Accidently I deleted user from wordpress which is also an affiliate. I can still see user in my affiliates with all his data. So I tried to add the user again with same email id but unfortunately both accounts are not sync (wordpress and affiliate). During trouble shooting I found that other affiliate users have wpam_affiliate capability in their user accounts but if I add same user, it did not get the capability. I tried to add capability by using custom capability plugin but it did not worked. Is there any way I can add new user in wordpress and sync with existing my affiliate account? Ofcource email ids will be same.

    Hi, I think your best option is to restore your site from the last backup. This will avoid issues that might arise in the future if you try to create manually a WordPress User that matches an affiliate account.

    Thanks for the reply.

    As a busy ecommerce store, we can’t restore the backup to avoid order disputes and missing.

    Is it not obvious that if user added in wordpress with email id should sync with affiliate account with same email id?

    Vice versa it works good, like if user is present in wordpress and we can create affiliate account for the same. But it did not work if user is present in affiliate manager and we add same in the wordpress user account.

    Any other possible solution to fix this? or any of your addon or paid service can sort this? I just want to add accidently deleted wordpress account and sync with existing my affiliate account with same email id.

    @vishwajeetyadavpatil, The userId field needs to be updated for this affiliate in the database (wpam_affiliates table).
