adding new theme

Hi there. In the Dashboard of WordPress go to Appearence-Themes-Add New and browse for your theme or Upload it from your computer. Best regards.

Paid for themes may have their own ways of installing, it’s best to contact the theme author/ vendor for support.

Whenever I go to to the dashboard I am not seeing add a new theme under appearance. Any suggestions why this might be the case? Apologies for being the confused new guy!

You must go to Appearence – Themes and you can find Add New. There you can install new themes.

Thanks for the help guys, step 3 in the instructions there is ‘Add New’. Add new doesn’t appear under my appearance>themes selection. Really confusing.

Are you using WP.com? If so, you won’t be able to add new themes by that method. See here for the differences between WP.com and WP.org: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
