Adding new social icons

  • Hello again!

    Looking through Twenty Twenty documentation, I noticed that Theme supports closed Google+, but there are no social icons for the other popular networks and services. For example, Telegram, VKontakte (one of the most popular social network Russian-speaking space).

    Is there any way to add these icons (maybe in future updates)?

  • Hello again. This feature was going to be implemented into the first version of the theme. However, it was implemented into the theme after the deadline for new features/enhancements/etc. Due to this, the feature had to be reverted and may be introduced in a future update to the theme.

    That said, there are a few plugins out there designed to create a social icons menu. Not sure if you’ve tried any of those yet or if you were just more interested in having it as a default feature of the theme.

    I’m more interested in having it as default theme feature. The less plugins – the better. ??

    Understandable, I went ahead and created a Trac ticket to possibly add in the feature in a future update here:

    Not sure if you’re familiar with Trac but you can watch that ticket for updates to see if that feature will make it into the next theme update.
