adding new report page

  • hi to all,
    i am very new to this, i am using 3.0.4
    i have installed successfully.
    basically i want to convert this site in to a report displaying (books,thesis,journals records etc) from the database.
    now i want to add a page name TITLE when it opens its displays the data of the books or thesis according to the title from the database.
    but the problem is that how to connect it from the database and how to add thesis data in the tables, i have created a new page but do not know to connect it from the table and not know to shows the values for the database.
    can any one guide me?
    any help be appreciable .
