• Please can someone advise me how do you set up the wordpress site so that users can add new posts from the site without being redirected to the admin panel. Is there a plugin or a setting that needs to be made.

Also how do I set the levels for the different subscribers and what they can do. At the moment the default subscription is set to subscriber which gives the user access to the backend and ability to change media files. I would like the users to work only from the site and not have to switch between backend (admin panel) and the site.

    Advice will be appreciated https://timeouthosting.za.org/sauu/

  • I’m actually trying to create functionality to add new posts from the front-end as we speak. As soon as I get it working, I’d be glad to help you with it. There are some plugins out there, but I don’t know of any off the top of my head.

Subscribers shouldn’t be able to do anything as you’ll see here. Are you sure they can? If they are able to it would be a plugin/theme function allowing them additional abilities.

You can change default user permissions by visiting

Settings > General Settings > New User Default Role

There are several plugins available for front-ended posting, none that I can name off the top of my head right now, but I’m sure someone will post it soon.

Thanks guys for the quick response, I am looking for front-ended posting plugins and will let u know if I find the correct one.

I can change the default setting in Settings > General Settings > New User Default Role
But where do I define what I would like each user role to have access to?
