Adding new blocks to Gutenberg

  • Hi all,

    I need a block for Gutenberg that allows displaying posts published on specific month. In short, I need Posts block with more filters.

    Do I need to install one of those block-adding plugins? If so, which free ones would you recommend?

    Heya @bittabola ,

    That’s a very valid use case! We’re currently working on adding a new “Query block”:
    https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/22199

    Like you described, the idea is to provide extra functionality (queries) to the post block. I don’t believe that is ready yet.

    In the meantime, you can certainly give other plugins a try. I don’t have any personal experience with any, so I wouldn’t be able to recommend one :).
