Adding Multiple Portfolios

  • Howdy Folks,

    I’m working on developing multiple portfolio pages for https://www.power-transmission.co/ running the Virtue 2.0.5 theme. I would like to have multiple portfolio pages that display different categories of portfolio items. For example, I would like to have a portfolio that displays items categorized as Sprockets, and another separate portfolio that displays items categorized as Bushings.

    So folks interested in sprockets could go to https://www.power-transmission.co/sprocketportfolio

    And those interested in bushings could go to https://www.power-transmission.co/bushingsportfolio

    Ideally these pages would appear and function exactly the same as a regular portfolio page does with the virtue theme, there would just be two of them that would pull different portfolio items.

    I can’t seem to find any plugins that are capable of handling this, and would greatly appreciate any suggestions. I’m not completely PHP savvy, but I can handle basic changes if someone knows a way that I can solve this conundrum.

  • Hey,
    You can have more then one portfolio page just by using the portfolio grid template.

    The problem is the navigation, on a single portfolio item there are arrows and a grid button, those are set up to only work with one portfolio. You can hide that navigation though. But for the ability to have two completely separate portfolios with navigation that works you need the premium theme.
