• Newbie here working on upgrading my html site to WordPress. I am using the Black and Red WordPress Theme from Luckythemes.com, and it only has six menu slots horizontally across the top, but it has lots of room for a few more. How do I tell the theme or css how many and which pages to put in the horizontal menu?

I have read all evening forum posts on wp_list_pages, and title_li, but I don’t know the css and php programming language enough for the posts to make sense. I even tried to make a test page with the wp_list_pages function, and it just came up blank.

Anyway, I am not afraid to type in a few changes in the header.php or css page, I just have no idea what to type. It seems that the title_li is a variable which tells the wp_list_pages which and how many pages to list.

My site is not “up” yet, but you can see the work in progress here:

The theme author does not have any way to contact them, or I would ask them what to do.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Looks like you solved your challenge with a new theme. Looking good. Only question is why you have Home page then a WP Home page. Whoa. Looks like you changed it back again to the old theme. Oh, well.

I did bounce around between a couple of themes. I have the site online now, and I like it, for the most part. I am using the Multi-Navigational plugin for the menu bar, and it is great. However, it is redundant to have the WP home (original working page title to distinguish it from the old site’s home page), and the Home page both on the nav bar. Multi-Nav plugin sez that’s the only way it can work.

    Choosing my battles.
