Adding meta tag to homepage source file

  • Do not edit the Twenty Twelve theme itself. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes & copy header.php into your child theme’s folder. Then edit this new file and add your tag just after the opening <head> tag.
