The best area to look at in order to make sure you are using the plugin correctly is: https://wpaudioplayer.com/usage/

You want to make sure that you have closing brackets on your shortcode [ ] as well as the : there is an example:

[audio:https://www.orangedogmusic.com/Music_Library/Wes_Hambright_Sampler.mp3%5D

try using that and see if it works, also I noticed that this file is password protected as well.

Thanks a million. That made the difference. I think i was missing that colon after audio. and i un password protected the directory on my site. BUT, It shows up now and i can press play but it doesn’t play. I’m still messing around with it.
