I was surprised to see no option to display a large Featured Image on the post page for this theme. I managed to add one, but I’m not sure I did it correctly. How would it be advisable to add a large Featured Image at the top of a post page (preferably above the Category and Comments links)?

On that note, how would I go about removing the default Category and Comments links at the top of posts and change it to a standard view where the Category and Comments info is below the Post Title and on the same line as the Date and Author?

    Thanks!

  • Hi AZBros. To add a Featured Image to a post, select the Featured Image option at the bottom of the right sidebar in the post editor, then select the “Image” format. Your other question is a different issue and should really go in a separate topic. And, when you create that topic, you might consider if you move the categories/comment count below the title, where is the featured image supposed to end up? Thanks.

Thank you, that worked. I never had to set a post to “Image” in the past to display the featured image(I’ve been using WordPress.com). Good thing to know going forward.

I’ll start a new topic for my other question.

It was probably the default for whichever theme you were using. Hueman offers several different formats. “Standard”, which doesn’t display the featured image, being the default.

I was using Twenty Fourteen before and if a Featured Image was set, it would show up on a Standard post (I never used any other post format, Standard was default). I didn’t think about that when switching to Hueman. I guess I’ll have to go back and change my old posts to Image so my Featured Images show up.
