• The users of my blog do not have access to a server so there is no URL to insert an image. Also, our university servers do not have the GD module installed so that images can be uploaded directly. Is there a plugin that I can use to allow the users to upload an image from their computer into a post?

  • The only other option would be for your users to get some hosting space somewhere else, and upload their images there, then link to them in the post.

Images have to be on the server – if not the one where WP resides, then somewhere else so you can link to them. They can’t just be inserted with no reference to the actual file.

No. Those images have to be uploaded somewhere. And if you don’t have the libraries to allow them to upload the images, then you can’t upload them in some other way either.

That’s what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation.
