• I have the gallery installed on a website on what I shall call WEB1 – works great, no problems. I have copied this website to a different ISP on what I shall call WEB2 – installed the gallery fine, but I cannot add images to any gallery. I add the files, but when I start the upload it appears to work and shows a status percentage which never reaches 100% and then reports that “0 image was uploaded successfully”

I have successfully installed and uploaded images to galleries on 2 different websites on WEB1, but on WEB2 I cannot upload images on 2 other websites.

So… would it appear that it is the ISP’s server that is causing the problem? Question is, what is the minimum requirements to run the plugin?

On the gallery overview I have the following differences:
Operating system: Linux 64 bit (WEB1), Linux 32 bit (WEB2)
    MYSQL Version: 5.5.31-cll (WEB1), 5.0.96-log (WEB2)
    PHP Version: 5.3.27 (WEB1), 5.3.24 (WEB2)
    PHP Memory Limit: 40 (WEB1), 64 (WEB2)
    PHP Max Upload Size: 40M (WEB1), 32M (WEB2)
    PHP Max Post Size: 8M (WEB1), 33M (WEB2)
    GD Version : bundled 2.1.0 compatible (WEB1), bundled 2.1.34 compatible (WEB2)

    Can anyone help?

  • I’m no expert so take this with a grain of salt, but I too have been fighting the exact same problem ever since the upgrade to the NGG version 2 series. It worked fine on one of my websites and wouldn’t actually load pix on the other one. (Looked like it was working, but they weren’t there when it was done “loading”.)

I love this plugin, so I stuck with it and kept reverting to the old 1.9.13 version and hoping they would get the problem fixed. In the meantime, every time I would update to the latest version, I would try tweaking every setting, thinking that it was something that I had done to create the problem.

I decided to try it again this morning, only before I did the update (to v. 2.0.31) I hit the “reset defaults” button on the old version; then did the update. It worked! It took a little extra effort to go back and add the tweaks to make the site look the way I want it, but it worked and it was worth it.

Just a thought. Not too painful and it might help.

Thanks tebeeson for the info, however I cannot do it in this case as each installation was new, rather than an update. maybe I ought to install 1.9.13 and then follow the process…

Well, I installed 1.9.13 and images upload fine – no problems. Did “reset defaults” button, then did the update. It DIDN’T WORK for me – the problem still exists – still it does show that 1.9.13 works on my problem sit. If only I could get 2.0.31 to work…
