Adding Images & Tables in Category Description

This code shows the category description on any section of the template, example archieves page : ‘<?php echo category_description(); ?>’

But the description accepts only ‘< a >’ and normal text and does not accept images code ‘<img>’ with the description. Is there any option to show up images or tables within the category descriptions
