Adding Image to Slider VERY SLOW

The slider has become so slow, it takes 5+ min to place a slide.
Slowness happens when:
Click “The The Fly” -> “Image Slider”
It takes 30+ seconds to display the “Like this free plugin donate button”
and all other side bars on that page.
Click of that page, and back on, it is slow again, thus what ever the call is, it does not cache anything.Once the sidebar is loaded, clicking on “Edit Slides” brings up Instantaneous list of slides.
Click “add new slide” it is slow, yet again, resolving and loading the side bar.
During this wait, you cannot click into the Slider name, or the tiny graphic (browse icon) to select a slide.This happens every time a slide is added, and takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Any ideas???
Is it some external call to the Donate, or Themes by TheTheFly?
