adding image into a blog

i’m trying to put an image in my blog. went from 2.3 (worked fine) to 2.5. i see where it lets me upload a picture when i select the add media>add image. that appears to work than thats it. if i go to the window and hit show, nothing happens. once the image is uploaded i have no ability to do anything with it. i can’t do anything with it. PLEASE HELP ANYONE?
