Adding HTTPS and Moving Directory

I’m putting together a woocommerce website. In the root directory I have a under construction HTML page. My wordpress installation is located in a folder below the root. Before Start to make the migration I wanted to make sure I’m doing the right thing.

1. Change my Site URL & WordPress URL
2. Move the wordpress install to the root directory.
3. Hope it works

**SSL Concern**
It asks me to reconfigure wordpress from scractch when I add https on the URLs. This is where im concerned about my next course of action. Should I just reconfigure it again? and just reuse the database credentials? I wouldnt want to overwrite the existing file for fear of changing settings I already set.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited
