Adding HS Tariff Commodity Codes to Products

  • I have looked through the Plugins but cant find one that will add fields to a product so I can enter the HS Tariff Code for the item.
    I currently sell 20% of my products internationally so need to include the code when filling out any CN22 Customs Form (and with Brexit looming that will include any products sold into the EU). I currently have to hold a separate spreadsheet listing products by SKU and its HS Code but it would be so much easier if I could enter it directly when creating the product.
    I’m surprised no one has yet created such a plugin – or has anyone got any good suggestions as how to do it in current system?

    Hi,

    you can create a global attribute in products > attributes add new one ‘hscode’ add one dummy code or all you have.
    then edit the product > attributes select hscode from dropdown select one or more codes or select ‘add’ to add a new one which the also becomes global.
