adding homepg link to menu

Hey everybody,

Got this site that uses a great theme from devilcantburn. I am pretty new to wordpress tho and im having an issue with the homepage and assigning it to the main menu.

I tried to create a menu link for the homepage so i created I made a page called “homepage”… duh lol. I assinged the new page to display the blog. What happened is that now in effect I have 2 homepages, the one that loads when you go the site and links to the logo and another “homepage” that is in the main menu. Both pages look different for some reason and the “homepage” that is in the main menu doesnt show the slider when I activate it, but the index page being loaded when you visit the site does.

I want the homepage to look like the one that I created the link for in the main menu, but I do want the slider to work when its activated.

I know there’s something i’m missing here. Any help is greatly appreciated!
